The very name “Serengeti” conjures up an image of vast African plains teaming with wildlife… Located in north-central Tanzania, the Serengeti is world renowned as one of the best locations on earth for wildlife and nature photography. Following the seasonal rains through Tanzania and Kenya, the migration has to be seen to be believed with over 1.5 million wildebeest & zebra marching on the never ending cycle of life & death passing through dangerous territory and evading lethal predators that can snatch their lives at any given moment. The drama and spectacle is breathtaking. If you only ever come to Africa once, then we highly recommend this outstanding Garden of Eden.

The area has a year-round abundance of resident wildlife including herds of elephants, incredible birdlife, giraffes, zebra, large prides of lions, elusive leopards and not forgetting of course, the magnificent cheetahs. The eastern Serengeti is easily the best place in sub-Saharan Africa to witness and photograph the fastest land animal on earth.

Tarangire National Park – Tanzania.
Tarangire National Park is one of East Africa’s most underrated gems. Often overlooked in favour of the more famous Serengeti and Ngorongoro, Tarangire is a true insider’s destination… rich in wildlife, iconic landscapes, and raw untamed beauty.
What makes Tarangire truly special is its sense of space and solitude. Here, you’re far from the crowds, surrounded by a tapestry of ancient baobab trees, golden savannah and the winding Tarangire River, a life-giving artery that draws incredible concentrations of wildlife, especially during the dry season.
Tarangire boasts one of the largest elephant populations in Tanzania and it’s not uncommon to encounter very large herds. The park is also home to an impressive array of other species: majestic lions, leopards lounging in trees, giraffes, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and the shy but beautiful lesser kudu. For bird lovers, it’s a paradise with over 500 recorded species, Tarangire is one of the top birding destinations in Africa.
But it’s not just the wildlife that captivates, it’s the atmosphere. The quiet, the golden light, the rustling of leaves, and the call of distant birds all combine to create a photographic and emotional experience that’s both intimate and powerful.
Whether you’re photographing the mighty elephants framed by baobabs or simply soaking in a fiery sunset over the river, Tarangire leaves a lasting imprint. It’s the kind of place that sneaks into your soul and stays there.
If you’re planning a 2026/27 safari and want a truly authentic African wilderness experience, don’t overlook Tarangire— it’s a place where magic still feels wild and untouched. Please make contact for more information about your next great adventure!

Lake Natron & Ol Doinyo Lengai – Northern Tanzania.
Set amid stark, otherworldly terrain in northern Tanzania, Lake Natron is one of nature’s most surreal masterpieces. Its shimmering alkaline waters, coloured by mineral sediments and salt-loving microorganisms serve as the primary breeding ground for millions of lesser flamingos, creating dramatic pink flocks against the sweeping salt flats. Towering over this incredible ecosystem is Ol Doinyo Lengai, the only active carbonatite volcano in the world and a sacred landmark for the Maasai.
Beyond flamingos and lake vistas, Lake Natron’s austere beauty reveals dramatic contrasts: sculpted salt crusts, red-hued horizons at sunrise, and vast plains that echo with stillness. Adventurous travellers can tackle hikes to the Ngare Sero waterfalls, explore Maasai villages and learn about their rich cultural heritage, or simply absorb the haunting beauty of a landscape unlike anywhere else in Africa. For photographers and explorers seeking something truly unique, Lake Natron is an unforgettable highlight. Please make contact for more information about your next great adventure!

Amboseli National Park – Southern Kenya.
Amboseli National Park is in southern Kenya. It’s known for its large elephant herds and views of the towering Mount Kilimanjaro (that is located across the border in neighbouring Tanzania). Located in a private conservancy bordering the national park, our accomodation choice here is the fantastic and very exclusive Elewana Tortilis Camp.
Expect to see varied wildlife including giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species. However, the real stars of the show in Amboseli are its magnificent 1000+ elephants. The western section of the park is dominated by the vast Lake Amboseli, which is dry outside the rainy season however is home to incredible birdlife (including the Greater and Lesser Flamingo) at other times.
